Asparagus Amandine

Asparagus Amandine

Asparagus Amandine
Fresh asparagus gives green bean amandine a makeover, making it the ideal substitution while asparagus is in season.

A large nonstick skillet should be preheated on medium-high.

Add the almond slices and shake the pan gently for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the almonds are lightly toasted.

Watch carefully to avoid burning.

Aside the almonds.

Use the same skillet to add butter and olive oil.

Stir the oil and butter together in the skillet for about a minute.

Salt and pepper the asparagus spears before adding them.

Gently stir and turn the asparagus in the skillet for 4 to 6 minutes, or until it is tender-crisp.

Onto a serving plate after transfer.

In the warm skillet, combine the remaining butter and oil with the bread crumbs.

Stir for 1 to 2 minutes, or until slightly browned.

Add lemon juice to the prepared asparagus.

Add browned bread crumbs and toasted almonds as a garnish.
