Chocolate Snickerdoodles
In this chocolate snickerdoodle cookie cocoa powder is added to boost the flavor of a classic cookie that is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Set the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees C).
Using an electric mixer, combine eggs and 1 1/2 cups white sugar shortening in a bowl until creamy.
In a different bowl, sift together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
When thoroughly combined, fold this mixture into the egg mixture.
In a shallow bowl or on a plate, combine 1/4 cup white sugar and cinnamon.
Roll cookie dough into 1-inch balls, then roll each one in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
Place on a baking sheet without grease.
