Creamy Pasta Bake with Cherry Tomatoes and Basil
This creamy pasta bake is easy to make with penne, cherry tomatoes, basil, Parmesan, and mozzarella for a comforting weeknight vegetarian pasta dish.
Set the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees C).
Butter a baking pan.
Large pot of lightly salted water should be brought to a boil.
Add the penne and cook, stirring occasionally, for 11 minutes or until it is tender but still firm to the bite.
Save 1 cup of cooking water before draining.
A big skillet with medium heat is used to heat the olive oil.
Cook onion in oil for about 5 minutes, or until soft and translucent.
Cook for an additional 30 seconds after adding the garlic.
After adding the tomato paste and sauce, cook for about 5 minutes, until the sauce has slightly reduced.
Pour in some cream and Parmesan cheese.
Season with salt, pepper, and sugar.
