Frijoles a la Charra
This is a really tasty pinto beans recipe made in the slow cooker. This recipe is great to serve along with enchiladas or to take to a barbecue or potluck.
In a slow cooker, add pinto beans and water to the brim.
Add salt and garlic mixture.
For one hour on high, cook covered.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon until it is evenly browned but still slightly chewy.
Half the fat should be drained.
Cook the onion in the skillet until it is tender.
Jalapenos and tomatoes should be combined, then heated through.
Stirring the beans into the slow cooker after transfer.
Cooking for 4 hours on Low while the slow cooker is covered.
About 30 minutes before the end of the cooking time, combine the beer and cilantro.
