potato chips made at home? Absolutely! They smell divine and are golden, crispy, and delicious. Additionally, you are free to use any oil and salt combination.
As you cut the potatoes, place the slices in a big bowl of cold water.
Slices should be drained and washed in cold water.
Slices are added back into the bowl along with 3 tablespoons of salt and fresh water.
Give the potatoes at least 30 minutes to soak in the salty water.
Slices are rinsed and then drained.
Clean off.
In a deep fryer, heat the oil to 365 degrees F.
(185 degrees C).
Frying potato slices in small batches until golden is the goal.
Use a slotted spoon to remove and drain on paper towels.
Continue frying the slices until they are all done.
