Pear Bread II
The delicate flavor of fresh pears and pecans dance enchantingly in this lovely summer loaf. Freezes well if double wrapped. Delicious and easy.
Set oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).
Grease two 8×4-inch loaf pans very lightly.
Combine eggs, sugar, and oil in a large mixing bowl and beat well.
Add the vanilla, pecans, and pears.
Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a separate bowl.
Mix well after stirring the dry ingredients into the pears.
Fill prepared loaf pans with batter.
A toothpick inserted into the center of a loaf should come out clean after baking it for 60 minutes in a preheated oven.
Before transferring the loaves to a wire rack to finish cooling, give them 10 minutes to cool in the pans.
