Poached Quince with Cranberries
Quince fruits poached in sweet syrup with tart cranberries make for a lovely dessert at your next holiday gathering or dinner party.
Orange juice, white sugar, agave nectar, and water are combined in a saucepan and heated over medium-high heat.
Quince fruits should be washed, peeled, and any dark spots removed.
When the liquid is boiling, add whole quinces and turn down the heat.
Cook for ten minutes.
After simmering for an additional 10 minutes, turn the quince over 180 degrees.
Add the cranberries and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the quince is knife-tender.
Serve the quince whole or cored, topped with the cranberries and syrup.
Add orange zest on top.
