Slow Cooker Root Beer Chicken Sandwiches

Slow Cooker Root Beer Chicken Sandwiches
The ideal chicken sandwich filling is chicken thighs cooked in root beer in a slow cooker.

Put the chicken in a slow cooker and cover with root beer.

Cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours, or until the meat shreds easily.

After draining the cooking liquid, shred the meat with a large spoon, two forks, or meat claws.

Add barbecue sauce and stir.

Until you are ready to serve, keep warm in the slow cooker.

Serve the meat on hamburger buns with additional barbecue sauce if desired.
