Stovetop Saffron Rice
As soon as you smell the cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon cooking in butter, you’ll be ready to eat! For a delicious dish that will go with any meal, simmer the spices with long-grain rice, vegetable broth, and saffron threads.

Pour cold water over the rice and leave it to soak for 30 minutes.

Soak 2 tablespoons of boiling water with the saffron threads.

Cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon are added to melted butter and cooked for two minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Add the onion and stir occasionally while cooking until golden brown.

Add the rice, turn the heat down to low, and stir continuously for 5 minutes.

Add the salt and saffron, then pour in the boiling broth.

About 40 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid has been absorbed, cover and cook.
