Strawberry pie is a favorite, and this five-ingredient, picture-perfect version couldn’t be easier to whip up. It’s a must-try after berry picking!

In the baked pastry shell, distribute half of the strawberries.

Remaining strawberries should be added to a medium saucepan.

Strawberries in a saucepan with sugar added; heat to a boil over medium-low, stirring frequently.

In a small bowl, stir cornstarch and water together.

Stir the cornstarch mixture gradually into the boiling strawberry mixture.

Stirring continuously, lower the heat and simmer the mixture for about 10 minutes or until it thickens.

Over the berries in the pastry shell, pour the cooked strawberry mixture.

Set aside for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator until chilled.
