Corn starch is used to thicken this pudding, which is eggless.

Combine the salt, corn starch, and sugar in a saucepan.

When the mixture begins to thicken, add the milk and cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat.

Cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes after adding the vanilla.

Pour into individual molds, then rinse with cold water.

Let stand until firm, then remove from mold.
