To make a tasty treat, the Midwest beef sandwich is quickly and simply seasoned with mustard, horseradish, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce.
In a 1-cup measuring cup, mix ketchup, salt, mustard, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and ground black pepper.
If the combined ingredients don’t make 1 cup of ketchup, add more.
Stir thoroughly to combine.
Put the ground beef in a stockpot and cover it with the ketchup mixture.
Warm water should be put into the same measuring cup.
Pour into stock pot after stirring to loosen any remaining fine seasoning.
Add monosodium glutamate and stir in the onion to the ground beef mixture.
Mix ingredients thoroughly until combined.
Cook and stir the ground beef mixture over low heat for about 15 minutes, or until the ground beef is finely crumbled.
Bring to a boil and simmer for about 25 minutes to let the flavors meld.
