Chili mac made with canned chili, boxed macaroni and cheese, and shredded Cheddar comes together quickly for a meal or snack. Perfect for a study break!

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.

Cook macaroni in the boiling water stirring occasionally until tender yet firm to the bite 7 to 8 minutes.

Drain macaroni and return to the pan.

Add margarine milk and cheese sauce packet; mix well.

Stir in canned chili and cook over medium heat until hot.

Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese to serve.

These energy balls are the ideal snack because they contain oats, seeds, nuts, sweet dates, and raisins.

In the bowl of a food processor, pulverize the oats into a coarse meal.

When the chunks are the desired size, add the pumpkin seeds, walnuts, and pecans and pulse 10 to 15 times.

Dates should be added to the food processor and blended for a minute.

As the processor is running, slowly stream in the rice syrup, blending until the mixture begins to ball up.

Add chocolate chips, coconut, raisins, and sunflower seeds after transferring to a bowl.

Roll the dough into balls after removing it in 25 gram portions.

Place on a cookie sheet in a single layer; it’s okay if they touch, but watch out for stacking.

Serve chilled after 2 to 24 hours in the refrigerator.

This has less fat but is otherwise identical to traditional Christmas pudding. The house has a wonderful scent all day. It tastes great when paired with rum or cranberry sauce. Try chocolate or lemon sauce for variations. Before filling, you can line the mold with pecan or cranberry halves. Before serving, get creative and adorn the plate with Christmas decorations. Nothing is off limits.

In a bowl, mix the bread crumbs, raisins, and carrots.

In a separate small bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and allspice.

In a separate, big bowl, combine the butter, sugar, and eggs.

Then, add the flour mixture.

Mix well after adding the carrot mixture.

Place mixture in a 2-quart mould that has been lightly greased.

A lean version of a German beef and cabbage filled roll. They freeze very well, and are good dipped in mustard.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Place ground beef in a large deep skillet.

Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown.

Drain fat.

Stir in cabbage and onion soup mix; cook 5 minutes longer or until lightly browned.

Set aside.

Roll one loaf of bread dough into a 16×8 inch rectangle then cut into eight 4 inch squares.

Spoon cabbage mixture into center of each square top with 1 small slice cheese and bring up diagonal points pinching edges closed.

Place krautburgers on a cookie sheet coated with cooking spray and let rise for about 10 minutes.

Which is crispier, peach or rhubarb? Why choose? Use two summertime favorites in this recipe to combine both into one delectable dish.

Preheat an oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Mix the rhubarb peach white sugar and 1/4 cup flour together in a large bowl until evenly combined; pour into the prepared baking dish and spread into an even layer.

Stir the brown sugar quick oats and 1 1/2 cups flour together in a separate bowl.

Cut the butter into the flour mixture with a knife or pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs; sprinkle evenly over the rhubarb and peach mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown on top about 45 minutes.

This spiced breakfast cake is moistened by chopped prunes. When I was younger, this cake was one of my favorites, probably because it allowed me to eat cake for breakfast.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Grease and flour a 9 inch tube pan.

In a large bowl mix the shortening and sugar with an electric mixer until smooth.

Mix in the eggs one at a time then stir in the vanilla and prunes.

Sift the flour allspice nutmeg cinnamon salt baking powder and baking soda into a large bowl or onto a sheet of waxed paper.

Stir in the dry ingredients 1/3 at a time alternating with the buttermilk.

Mix in the walnuts if using.

Pour batter into the prepared pan.
